Call Guidance

The ACQUEAU Call Process

For the full details of the ACQUEAU Call Process, please see our Handbook.

The ACQUEAU Call process is formed of 4 stages.

Stage 1: The Pre-call phase

Before opening a call, the ACQUEAU office organise a Pre-brokerage Event to inform anyone who wants to participate on the topic/subject of the next call. We actively encourage companies (Large enterprises, SMEs and Institutes) to attend. This gives organisations a chance to consider possible projects in relation to the themes/scope of the call and to meet other potential partners.

Stage 2: The Call Phase

This diagram shows the stages involved in ACQUEAU Calls. This emphasizes the importance of project leaders initiating discussions with the National Project Coordinator at an early stage of their proposal development.

Stage 3: The Project Outline (PO) phase

Once the call is announced, companies interesting in the call have the opportunity to submit a Project Outline (PO). Attention should be given to the ACQUEAU Label conditions and the ACQUEAU Call Guidelines which are available on the web site.  The PO must be supported by a “Letter of Intent” from each partner. ACQUEAU will not accept projects where not all its partners have signed this document.

After the PO submission has closed each proposal is subject to review. This review has several forms of input, including the ACQUEAU Executive Office, the ACQUEAU Scientific Committee, National project co-ordinators.  For more details on the reviewing structure, please see our handbook.

Stage 4: The Final Project Proposal (FPP) phase

Projects that are allowed to proceed to FPP are intend to submit a FPP and a supporting consortium agreement.  After the FPP submission has closed each proposal is subject to review. This review has several forms of input, as with the PO Phase.  On condition of their review the project is awarded the Eureka ACQUEAU Label by the ACQUEAU Board.

Following the 4th Stage, the preparations for closing the Call are prepared.   To see in more detail how the project process works, please visit out project page.
